Checkpoint Five The final checkpoint has us rounding out our website for full deployment, this includes: SEO Calls to action Advanced features In this blog, I will describe most of the changes I made to my website to accommodate this checkpoints marking schedule. Customizations I made a couple design customization in this checkpoint in order to made my website feel more well rounded, the major ones are as follows: Social media buttons: I added a circle around the social media buttons in order to place further emphasis on them and make them catch the eye better. Testimonial text: I've placed red text on the following text in order to further differentiate it from the testimonial itself, the red text is often used in my website to consistently emphasise elements. Checkpoint Four

Checkpoint Four This checkpoint covers 3 goals: 1. Image and media implementation 2. Content implementation 3. Colour implementation I will cover each of these goals in this blog. Content Implementation First of all, I worked on adding content in place of my Lorem Ipsum placeholder text, due to my inexperience with this type of content I had to do some research in order to find out what lawyer websites generally use as their content filler whilst also incorporating keywords. I may have to revisit the structure of this content in the following checkpoint where we implement SOE aspects to our website. Every page besides the contact page has some form of text content, this has all been replaced with the content I intend to actually be there for the finished product. Checkpoint Three

Checkpoint Three Uploaded Site URL:  http://doeandsuelawyers.altervista.org/index.php  For this checkpoint, the workload is not as heavy, for those who have minimal issues uploading to a hosting provider anyway. I chose to upload mine to Altervista due to the free service appearing to be more than good enough for my needs. Hosting In previous checkpoints, I had already uploaded my website, for this checkpoint I uploaded my new pages & content in order to ensure that it behaves properly on the hosting platform. The process of uploading the site itself was simplistic and proved to be a breeze, other than one instance of my new style.css file not properly overwriting the old one from previous uploads, to fix this I had to rename the stylesheet and have my code point to the new renamed one instead. My greatest concern was that my PHP was not going to function correctly on this hosting platform although it worked fine. In other instances, I have had troubl...
